Meet Our Keynote Speakers

  • Richard Foy

    Richard is an Aotearoa New Zealand-born son of Chinese immigrants, accomplished public speaker, failed comic-novelist and a technology-savvy futurist who’s enthusiastically committed to a career of public service and leadership. Richard currently works for Te Puni Kōkiri, President of Archives and Records Association of New Zealand, former Chief Archivist of Archives NZ, a Leadership Development Centre Fellow, and a wannabe Starfleet Officer.

  • Melissa Chan-Green (nee Davies)

    Melissa Chan-Green (nee Davies) has been a broadcast journalist for more than 2 decades - working at both TVNZ and TV3. Up until recently she was Co-host on the AM Show and before that spent many years in news as a reporter and presenter on the 6pm bulletin. The rest of her career is excitingly TBC at the moment. 

    Melissa is 4th generation Chinese NZ on her dad's side and her maternal grandfather was Dutch. She has two children with her English husband. 

  • Lincoln Dam

    Lincoln Dam is a lecturer in Te Kura Mātauranga (the School of Education) at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). His current research explores the relationships between Asian New Zealanders and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and how best we might teach for growing diversity in educational settings. Lincoln was born in Aotearoa-New Zealand to a Thai-Chinese mother and a Chinese-Cambodian-refugee father.
